We collect as little personal information as we can, and we never sell it.

Who we are
This website is run by the NATAKA Research Institute, based at Wollumbin, on Bundjalung and Githabul Country in Australia. For any privacy question, write to info@natakaresearchinstitute.org.
What we collect and why

Where it is kept
Your information is stored with the services that run this site: the website host [Netlify], the Library database and sign-in service [Supabase], the payment provider [to be confirmed], and the mailing-list service [to be confirmed]. Some of these store data outside Australia. We choose services that protect data with encryption and access controls.
Who can see it
Only the people at the Institute whose role needs it. We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not share it with any government, company or church, except where Australian law requires it.
Information about people in Papua is handled with extra care. See Security and Safety.
Your choices
- You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you.
- You can ask us to correct it or delete it.
- You can unsubscribe from the Bulletin at any time, using the link in every email.
- You can ask us to remove your name from any credit, at any time.
Write to info@natakaresearchinstitute.org. We will answer within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Cookies
We use only the cookies needed for signing in to the Library. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
